Triggered by CC’s homecoming of his black Girard-Perregaux Sea Hawk I like to share some advertising I have of the watch in my library.

These scans are from different ads from the beginning of the Sea Hawk launch!

The Sea Hawk was release in December 1988 / January 1989.

Here is a review of the watch made by an Italian magazine, 1988.

Unfortunately, I do not read Italian, but I think you may get most of it by reading and looking at the photos.

Here is a shot showing how the original strap looked like and also the bracelet. Notice the thin gold details on the bracelet.

Nicely finished movement. Even if closed case back, bridges and rotor are very nicely gilt finished.

Here is another ad from 1988 showing the white dial/solid gold version. Notice the different strap compared with the black/steel version in the previous document?

Last one is from 1990, showing the blue dial/steel version.

Even if you are not able to read the language, you are always able to pick up some detailed information in these old ads.
