Crown comfort introduces the Girard-Perregaux Neo Tourbillon with Three Bridges Skeleton, a significant novelty from SIHH 2018. This article highlights the evolution of GP's iconic three-bridge design, now presented in a captivating skeletonized form. Readers will gain insight into the brand's continuous innovation in haute horlogerie.
After we have seen already a number of new exciting releases, it is time to introduce the Girard-Perregaux Neo Tourbillon with Three Bridges Skeleton.
The novelty revolves around the word โSkeletonโ. We are familiar with the Neo Bridges for a while and it remains a perfect modern interpretation of the classic iconic three bridge design, like the pink gold Neo Tourbillon.
Now Girard-Perregaux has added a third version in addition to the pink gold and black Neo Tourbillon. It comes in a white metal case (polished Titanium) something we have been wishing for.
The movement however has been completely revamped. The Neo Bridges are still there but the base plate has disappeared and we can now admire the entire mechanism in this translucent look.
This is my favourite new release this year and soon I hope to provide more details and a thorough review.

The Girard-Perregaux Quasar, reference 99295, is a notable addition to the Bridges collection, introduced shortly after SIHH 2019. It represents an evolution of the Neo-Bridges Tourbillon Skeleton, distinguishing itself primarily through its innovative case material. This reference showcases Girard-Perregaux's commitment to advanced material science and transparent design within its high-horology offerings, building upon established architectural principles of the Bridges line. It was presented as a significant novelty in the 2019 collection, highlighting a continued focus on skeletonization and material innovation.
This particular reference features a full sapphire case, a departure from the polished titanium of its predecessor. The use of sapphire contributes to an exceptionally light and translucent aesthetic, allowing for an unobstructed view of the intricate movement from multiple angles. The watch is powered by a manufacture caliber, designed to be visually engaging through its openworked structure. The sapphire crystal further enhances the transparency, complementing the case material to create a cohesive visual experience.
The Quasar appeals to collectors interested in contemporary high watchmaking, particularly those who appreciate technical transparency and advanced material application. Its position within the Bridges collection underscores its lineage and connection to Girard-Perregaux's historical architectural movements. The transition from titanium to sapphire for this design emphasizes a pursuit of lightness and visual purity, offering a distinct variant for enthusiasts of skeletonized tourbillons.
I love these 3 bridges!
we will see even more to come in 2018.
Hmm, perhaps using some spray tan on your wrist to minimise the effect?
