Friends,
A couple of weeks ago I posted the press release with Girard-Perregaux welcomes Nile Rodgers and the announcement of the limited edition Shadow Hawk in partnership with the We are family foundation.
You can read the press release here:
Please note that this watch I will show you is not identical with the watch shown in the press release, the “We are family foundation” version. The foundation logo is not on the dial and “AUTOMATIC” is not in black. The “We are family foundation” version also has a black canvas/rubber strap.

If these differences are due to last minute changes or if the watch I was shown (in May) is the regular none limited edition or a prototype, I have to verify.
As mentioned in the press release the dial is black monochrome, even the luminous material on the hands and hour markers are black.
Even if the dial is monochrome, in normal light it is very easy to read. The depth of the dial gives a good contrast to the hands and the applied indexes.
The pattern on the dial is the same as we have become used to see on all the Hawk family by now which enhance the three dimensional look of the dial.
I apologize for the somewhat poor photos, I was shown this watch when I already was on my way out the door, late, to catch my flight home…
The applied GP logo in silver color is an eye catcher, but what surprises is that GP opted for a white date disk. The date at six is the only thing except the logo that breaks the monochrome look of this watch.

This is a big and powerful creation from Girard-Perregaux!
But even in this size, the watch is light. The ceramic, PVD coated titanium and the rubber. All very high-tech materials and GP have integrated the high-tech into the look of this watch as well. The 44 mm ceramic case looks like a mix of a Stealth airplane and a Star Wars space ship.
The technological rubber strap looks like the wings of a predator stretching out, hovering in the hunt of its next pray!

Inside is the automatic caliber GP03300-106. Also here GP opted for a black decoration on the rotor.
The movement is 29.30 mm in diameter, beating in a frequency of 28 800 vph (4 Hz). 61 jewels and with a power reserve of 46 hours. Water resistant down to 100 meters.

I find this watch very cool! Light super high-tech…
But, and it is the same but I raised for the Sea Hawk Black…
Personally I not a big fan of black cases…
That said, I still think this is a very cool watch!
Nile Rodgers is a lucky man!

Looking forward to your thoughts.
Best

Sorry I meant batman not Blomman :p I love the all black dial and case of the Chrono Hawk Shadow. From the pics of the lugs and rubber stap design, maybe 44mm may not wear nor look that large. Thanks for sharing this batman... :p Your sidekick Robin
I don't know about you.... But you will never see me in black tights! ;) But, I would not mind a Batmobile! ;) Best, my sidekick friend Bat...erhhh. Blomman
But I am more and more tempted by a Sea Hawk. Best, my friend. Nicolas
Definition of a lost case, my friend! ;) I agree the Sea Hawk would be my first chioce. But the more I look at the Chrono Hawk the more I like it! :) Best Blomman
