You have a very valid point about the Centigraphe not getting enough attention here. Itâs a fascinating piece with a very unusual interpretation of a Chronograph. The history and itâs connection to F1 is super cool and adds both to its validity and charm. I even find the dial beautiful. (I know some donât) I suppose the closed design of the movement makes it less desirable than a e.g. a Datograph to collectors of a broader scope. And yes, the massive plates cover some of what makes a chronograph movement something special to look at. But still...all that RG staring back at you when you flip it over! It's great watch. The Optimum is greater.

The Centigraphe makes so much sense in the sport case. It is raw and original and fun and sporty. And still a versatile piece with the dark titanium and the bracelet.
...your trade and reason for letting it go is without question. The Optimum is an important piece of the Journe line it; itâs the watch that FP wanted to make for himself. And yours, the case and dial combination, is a stunningly beautiful watch. In a way the Centigraphe could never be given how itâs dial needs to be.
I think we agree the Centigraphe is an incredible achievement, although it might be overkill in what it can do. The Optimum is all about chronometry; Journe's specialty.
