The F.P. Journe Chronomètre Souverain represents the foundational timepiece within the brand's Souveraine collection. This reference demonstrates the manufacture's approach to precision timekeeping through manual winding mechanics, positioned as a core offering in F.P. Journe's lineup.
The 40mm case is executed in 18k rose gold with a fixed bezel configuration. A sapphire crystal protects the silver dial, while the manual-winding caliber 1304 movement provides an 80-hour power reserve. The timepiece features 30-meter water resistance and is paired with a leather strap. Production commenced in 2000.
This reference appeals to collectors seeking F.P. Journe's mechanical execution in a fundamental three-hand configuration. The substantial power reserve and manual winding caliber position this model for enthusiasts who appreciate traditional watchmaking approaches within the Souveraine series framework.
Massive congratulations and welcome to WPS! Looking forwarding to seeing more shots of this timepiece!
So here’s my story. I started with Panerai, and jumped straight to Audemars Piguet. I still remember the excitement of unboxing the Pam111 and the years spent eyeing the royal oak offshore but couldn’t get myself to spend that kind of money on a watch. My AP experience has been bumpy. I bought my first ROO Navy pre-owned. My wife who was expecting our first child at that time told me: when our baby is born, you will not have time and money on watches. If you like it, why not just buy it? So I go
The FPJ, and your entire collection, is outstanding. Please don't be a stranger. We look forward to future posts. M4
I also started with Panerai and moved into AP 😊 This was my first AP in 2002
This is a very appealing FPJ. Wear it in the best of health. Best, Emmanuel
It’s interesting; I also got into watches via panerai (had to wait for my 359, back then, so got a sub-no-date to fill the void back then), then AP and then independents (FPJ and Gronefeld and Frodsham etc etc). A friend also started with panerai and ended up with an FPJ CB (back when they were offered at discount) and duffourograph (Lange). What a wonderful hobby this is. Enjoy the scenery my friend !
