His post not only showcases his cherished collection but also highlights the emotional connection collectors often have with their timepieces, especially those passed down through generations. This exploration offers a glimpse into the rich history of pocket watches and the dedicated craft of their restoration.

I will split my posts in parts and hope that will not be boring in the end!
More pics and small story of the OMEGA will follow later!
Look at this Cortebert and you couldn’t imagine it was made more than 100 years ago. So pure, nice, timeless... It’s so cool you can still own the pocket watch of your grandfather and, more importantly, in very good condition and perfect working order. Thanks again for these story and shots. Best wishes Alkiro
More pics and watches and stories to follow!!!!
CORTEBERT was the company that supply ROLEX and PANERAI (and many other brands) with their calibers as well the whole design of the watches. You can see in the below pictures the "similarity" of the caliber of my grandfather's CORTEBERT and a ROLEX caliber a few years latter: The same "similarity" with a Rusian pocket-watch Monjila
I didn’t know that. My pocket watch was same as you to blame for what followed. Sadly I don’t have the same story to go with mine. I appreciate the lecture! Best regards
