Amanico brings to light a vintage Breguet diving watch, challenging the common perception that Breguet's sports watches are limited to the Type XX. This post sparks a discussion on the potential for a modern re-issue, highlighting the timeless appeal of its design and the desire for contemporary features.

Look at this one:

How many were made? I don't really know... But if you hunt one, you are luckier playing at the lottery than finding one.

Imagine that watch with a 39 / 40 mm case.

Without date.

With a nice automatic movement ( manual is not a good option for diving watches, since you ruin the seal between the crown and the case faster ).

With a solid case back.

And a sapphire or ceramic bezel...

Wouldn't that be marvelous?

Best,

Nicolas

Bad habits are hard to go by...

Now I realize now Bréguet picked the ‘date window’ habit so long ago it continues ruining beautiful enamel dials in 2019 🤐

Plexy or domed sapphire, indeed. Thanks for voicing in, my friend. [nt]

If only!

It makes me want to petition Breguet for it!
