Sincere Fine Watches is proud to host Singapore’s first Breguet Tourbillon Exhibition at their flagship boutique in Ngee Ann City. The Breguet Tourbillon Exhibition opens on 25 February 2013.

211 years ago, the face of mechanical watchmaking radically changed when the founder, Abraham-Louis Breguet, revolutionized the art of timekeeping with the invention of the Tourbillon in 1801.  Its purpose, originally designed to improve the accuracy in pocket watches, was revered as being a groundbreaking creation in the watchmaking world at the time.

Today, the purpose of the tourbillion continues to fulfill the visual, artistic elements of watchmaking virtuosity. Both aesthetically and technically brilliant, these micromechanical masterpieces are a testament to the skill and accomplishment of the most gifted watchmakers. The engineering and design principles behind the tourbillion makes it one of the most valued novelties of collectors’ watches, and remains the aspiration piece for budding watch enthusiasts.

The tourbillion was undoubtedly Abraham-Louis Breguet’s magnum opus, and the brand continues to set the standard for timekeeping; differentiating themselves through their unrivalled watchmaking ability, exceptional craftsmanship and precise tourbillions.   The Tourbillon Exhibition presents the perfect opportunity to showcase the long heritage of tourbillions from the House of Breguet, and features an extensive selection of Breguet’s most exciting and exquisite collections worth more than $ 8.5 million.  Special pieces include the Marine Tourbillon high jewellery chronograph in 18-carat white gold, the Classique Grande Complication openworked wristwatch in platinum, with tourbillion, and the Classique Grande Complication pocket-watch in 18-carat yellow gold, with grand strike and tourbillon. Classic pieces such as the La Tradition, a modern take on the 18th century style of watches, will also be available at the boutique.

The Sincere boutique at Ngee Ann City is ideally located to showcase such splendor and history. Tucked away in a private corner of the boutique, watch enthusiasts can view these exclusive pieces at their leisure, with Sincere’s most experienced staff on hand to answer questions or engage in horological conversations.

For Sincere Fine Watches, hosting the Tourbillon Exhibition is part of their manifesto to provide the best of Haute Horlogerie to watch lovers in Singapore. As mentioned by Ong Ban, the CEO of Sincere Fine Watches, ‘Sincere Fine Watches is very proud to host this extraordinary exhibition. It is an unparalleled platform for Breguet to reinforce their commitment and inherent strength in this highly coveted area of high end watch making.”

The pieces on display from February will truly be a chance to view the best of Breguet, both in the past and the present.
