For luxury watch collectors, the provenance and history of a timepiece are often as significant as its mechanics. dla26's experience with Breguet's registration process for a pre-owned watch highlights a fascinating aspect of ownership: the desire to have one's name officially recorded in the brand's archives. This thread explores the nuances of Breguet's registration policy, particularly for secondary market acquisitions, and the community's insights into what it means to be 'in the book.'

But that might just be because of my weight
It could be that the name of the initial owner is there and not yours ! I agree with your questioning...!
...and I find the wording a bit convoluted at best.
On the other hand…. What if every new owner of a watch asks this? I don’t think they have the time to do this And how do they do it? They certainly won’t delete the original owners name So …. They put a Post-it over it ? 🤣🤣 Or do they start in a new book
There is not much place for several owners' name to be registered here...
That’s why I said a new book or an addendum cause they don’t have the space to write new owners between the lines Or they’ll will use Post-it ‘s 😀😀
