AndrewD's visit to the Breguet Boutique in Zurich offers a captivating glimpse into the brand's retail and historical presence. This post highlights the unique design of the boutique, which opened in 2010, and emphasizes the importance of its upstairs museum. It serves as a valuable guide for enthusiasts interested in experiencing Breguet's heritage and contemporary collections firsthand.
I had the pleasure of spending some time in the Breguet Boutique in Zurich which opened in December 2010. The Boutique is spread over three floors and is really a beautiful space to spend ‘time’ in. Rich blue walls match the colour of some of Breguet’s blue porcelain dials, anodized aluminium rods separate off different areas of the Boutique and are meant to channel the signature fluted Breguet cases. The staff were very knowledgeable and happy to show you any pieces from the collection.
After looking at the wonderful novelties in the Boutique (they have virtually the entire Breguet range) make sure you ask to see the museum upstairs. It is here that you feel everything snap into focus: the history, traditions and legacy of A.L. Breguet come together with the modern offerings you have viewed downstairs. The Marie Antoinette ‘re-issue’ was unfortunately on loan for another event, but if you are lucky it may be on display when you visit.
Again, the Museum is a lovely open space with rich wood flooring and panelling and diffuse lighting to show off the (mostly pocket) watches beautifully. The exhibition area was designed by the French-based Studio Adeline Rispal . Adeline specialises in cultural heritage projects, particularly in the visual arts and anthropology. You feel immediately relaxed in this space and can appreciate the watches.
So here are a few images to whet your appetite:

Thanks for bringing us with you, and sharing the visit! Best, Nicolas
