PuristSPro joins Breguet to celebrate the grand re-opening of the Breguet Beverly Hills Boutique. This exclusive event last Thursday evening also marks the U.S. launch of the Breguet Tourbillon Exhibition featuring a stunning collection of antique and current Breguet timepieces.

The Breguet Boutique in Beverly Hills first opened in 2006 on Rodeo Drive on the corner of Dayton Way and Via Rodeo. Over the past few years this boutique has hosted several memorable events including the presentation in late 2009 of the Breguet Maria Antoinette Grand Complication pocket watch No. 1160 (for the full report, Please click here )

Breguet spent over 2 months renovating the boutique. And it was not just a standard remodeling of the space, but a grand debut of the new Breguet retail design concept. In my opinion, the new boutique feels more spacious and lighter in color, and the design places a strong emphasis to Breguet's rich history of tourbillon development and other watchmaking innovations. Before we step into the boutique, we were warmly greeted by the charming event staff and introduced to several of Breguet staff members.

Via Rodeo was cordoned off for the event and guests were treated to fantastic cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. Ample amount of space was provide to stroll on the cobblestone street and mingle with other guests.

On the outside display windows were several of the signature Breguet Tourbillon and perpetual calendar watches from the Classique Collection.

I love the frosted glass background display with the blued Breguet hands logo and the dial engraving patterns. These details really stand out and reflects the classic Breguet guilloche watch dials.

Everyone at the event was excited to enter in the new boutique and see the tourbillon exhibition. Before we head into the boutique, the Breguet Boutique staff conducted their ribbon cutting ceremony. In part 2 we'll take a look at the ceremony and a brief tour of the new boutique.

Breguet Vice President of Sales Mr. Rudolphe Schulthess (pictured center) joined the festivities and welcomed the guests to the boutique with the ribbon cutting ceremony. I spoke with him briefly afterwards inside the boutique about the tourbillon exhibition. And a video of the ribbon cutting and official unveiling of the Breguet Boutique. In addition to the grand re-opening of the boutique, Breguet also debuted "Breguet, The Innovator, Inventor of the Tourbillon" exhibit that is part of a worldwide tour. The collection will remain on display and open to the public at the Breguet Boutique Beverly Hills between October 3rd to October 19th. Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres were served outside on the cobblestone walkway of Via Rodeo. Perfect Southern California weather made for a comfortable evening to stroll along the streets of Beverly Hills. Guests of the Breguet event were encouraged to walk along Via Rodeo to discover the refreshments and beautifully plated dishes.
