Emmanuel, known as quattro on WatchProSite, presents a captivating exploration into a Breguet Triple Calendar Chronograph with Moon Phases, believed to have been owned by the iconic French actor Jean-Paul Belmondo. His original post meticulously details the watch's specifications and provenance, including its appearance at the 1974 Cannes Film Festival. This article delves into the historical context and unique characteristics of this significant Breguet timepiece, enriched by community insights.

The watch would have been manufactured after Chaumet bought the brand, but before they really invested in it-hiring a CEO and shortly thereafter making it an independent brand from their jewelry house. Most probably this was a one-off piece, as most everything had been under the Browns' ownership. Post-Brown and pre-Daniel Roth.
That gold case with the blued hands bar the gold hour and minute hands just looks so pretty as do the blue dates round the dial it just makes the whole watch look so pretty. It does seem to be a much simpler look then more modern Breguet's with their guilloche dials but is one that appeals to me. Marc
One of the greatest.
You obviously know the history of the brand much better than I do. This watch seems to be a one-off indeed, and I like the way he wears I proudly during the photo session. Such a beautiful traditional watch! Best, Emmanuel
Something about it is straightforward, yet beautiful and with great complications. Best, Emmanuel
in particular, was a wonderful actor! Best, Emmanuel
