Yes unexpected catch this one.I was always a little reluctant when it came to Breguet and their classicism. Not sure why; just couldn’t swallow. Nothing personal. This watch found me. Now I get it. Bre-guet it, so to speak. Pun rather daddy joke’ish, but I couldn’t resist. Smoke, mirrors and time with true honest craft and invention.
What are you wearing right now?
...modernized, sure. But with the unmistakeable DNA of the master. The fact that it shows the time is a bonus...
Great day for you congrats !
Pare-chute prototype is from 1798. And he dropped a watch in a Parisian club in 1802 I think, as a bold proof for it’s efficiency and chock protection abilities on the fragile balance wheel. It’s right there! In blue. And the over-coil hair spring, which everyone still uses.
Oh that strap again! Nice with the high profile nubuk.
