Amanico, a respected contributor, challenges the common perception that Audemars Piguet's legacy is solely defined by the Royal Oak. His curated selection of vintage timepieces from his personal archives highlights the brand's rich horological history and diverse design language, inviting readers to explore the depth of AP's pre-Royal Oak era. This article underscores the importance of appreciating the full spectrum of a brand's heritage beyond its most iconic models.

Here are some photos I found in my hard disc, showing that there is a strong life outside the Royal Oak.

1929 Jumping Hour:

1936 Astrua Chronograph:

1945 Minute Repeater:

And a great thin classic watch:

Enjoy,

Nicolas

I like those cases!

I really like that square case and that 1945 minute repeater case. So strong and architectural!

That's the common point of these watches. Even if the thin one is more classic.

Indeed, an impressive variety in their offering...and even though the RO line probably won't leave the center stage anytime soon, it's always great to remind collectors that AP is much more than that! ;-) Cheers.

A pleasure to share them! There is something to explore, for AP, even if they did it a bit with the Code 11.59.
