Audemars Piguet hosted a seminar with ThePuristS at IGOTT2 detailing the rich history of AP, showcasing the new 2011 collection, and giving away some cool prizes with a fun contest. The moderator team arrives early to meet and greet the attendees from around the world. It was great to see such a diverse group of PuristS, old friends and new ones.



The location for this spectacular event celebrating the 10th anniversary of PuristS was the world renowned Encore/Wynn resort and casino (Forbes Five Star distinction), in fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. The luxurious accommodations extended to the plush conference rooms. There were two big screens for the macro watchmaking demonstrations.



Professional video and photographers were on hand to record this monumental event.



On hand was the familiar faces from Audemars Piguet North America displaying some beautiful pieces from AP.



Audemars Piguet brought in a impressive display and brought a wide variety of pieces, it was like they transported a AP Boutique to the IGOTT2 event! PuristS were able to handle the newest offerings from AP and seasoned AP staff were there to answer any technical questions about the products



Opening with a loud round of applause from the audience, special guest speaker was none other than 'Mr. AP' Martin Wehrli aka the Godfather of AP. Those that have met Mr. Wehrli in person know how much of a gentleman and overall great guy that he is. Everything and anything AP, Martin is the man that knows and it was a honor to have him present. PuristS had the opportunity to speak with Mr. Wehrli and it was fascinating on hearing his insights on AP and watches in general.



A presentation of the history to the evolution of Audemars Piguet mesmerized the crowd. Lots of detailed history and evolution of the brand. Mr. Wehrli also described the use of different materials and the uniqueness of each of their properties within watchmaking. Much talk was on the AP PuristS P10's Tantalum metal.

At the beginning of the event, PuristS founder Dr. Thomas Mao announced a contest with AP goodies given away, what an aesome way to kick off the event!

Some were serious in winning by taking careful notes....



PuristS formed into teams to vie for the prizes. Wow, you could tell that this crowd were AP fans, you had to be quick to get your hands up to answer....







Many had their hands up before the announcer could finish reading the questions!



Some of the questions were tough but this group PuristS knew their stuff! Impressive......



After a points count, the judges announces the team of winners, here they are collecting their AP prizes....

The top prizes was an amazing AP watch travel case!







As a AP fan, this was a awesome event, saw many AP's in the room and got a chance to put the name to the faces of online PuristS. Congrats to the winners and those that participated, and thanks to AP for this fun contest!
