MichaelC's original post highlights Audemars Piguet's reintroduction of forged carbon with the new 43mm Royal Oak Concept. This material has a significant history with the brand, and its return sparks discussion among collectors about its evolution, durability, and potential future applications across different AP lines. MichaelC's images provide a first look at this striking new reference.

My beloved AP, of all the guys...
Blue forged carbon is old news
While I prefer my titanium concept, it's great to see this material being re-introduced by AP. I've been hoping for a re-issue of this material for many years - and if they have significantly improved the durability, this could be a real awesome new material. Imagine this in a Jumbo (I think there are some homage / third parties that are doing this) - and the addition of glow in the dark components is sweet. Can they do Red? Cheers Peter
Thanks for the pics-great watch
At one time I had two Panerai made from carbon fiber, and because of the very sharp corners and the lugs when they did chip
I spoke with an AP boutique manager over this past weekend and he told me that normal sized Offshores in this same material will probably be years from now. So do not expect anything to come out soon for the average wrist size
