Up for sale is a very good condition Vacheron Constantin Double Retrograde Day & Date timepiece in pink gold.
A marvel of elegance and character and a pure Vacheron Constantin creation, the Patrimony Double Retrograde Day & Date is equipped with a double complication movement that takes its rightful place in the new generation of self-winding Vacheron Constantine movements.
Stamped with the prestigious Hallmark of Geneva, the calibre 2460R31R7 offers hour, minutes as well as retrograde date & day functions. The Vacheron caliber 2460R31R7 features 27 jewels, beating at 28,800bph & has a power reserve of 40 hours. The 18K pink gold case is 42.5 mm in diameter. Its convex sapphire back reveals the exceptional finishing and the decoration on the movement that has met Vacheron Constantin’s most stringent quality criteria. The 22k gold rotor is guilloche engraved for a great classic look. The rotor is coupled with ceramic ball bearings which are proving to be a better alternative that steel ball bearings that rely much more on lubrication.
I purchased this Vacheron timepiece from Sydney Vintage Watches in 2012. I have an extensive watch collection and i have decided to sell some of the watches that i do not wear.
I have only ever worn this watch occasionally as I don’t really wear pink or yellow gold watch, so it has mainly been sitting in my safe.
The watch is in perfect working order and all functions work perfectly.
The watch case is in excellent condition, there is a small tiny mark on the upper right lug, very tiny and very hard to see. The usual mico scratches from normal usage is evident on the case, this always is the case with pink and yellow gold watches. Very hard to see and can be easily polished out.
It comes in the box with all documents and papers. This watch retails at around $60,000 in Australia and second hand quality current model Vacheron’s rarely come up for auction in Australia.
