IIRC, they did not have any platinum buckle that can be used for Eichi 2. So, they were suggesting using the Eich 1 buckle but since Eichi 1 was already discontinued and they had no stock of the Eichi 1 buckle, they made the buck for your Eichi 2 based on the Eichi 1 design. I think this is more likely the case smile

I like that you have both tang and deployant buckle, personally, I prefer the Tang buckle for this watch . I don't quite understand why they will want to issue a deployant buckle which will make viewing the movement difficult.

How is it unique?

I remember I got mine with your help as I can't order one through the boutique then. I believe this is a platinum buckle that was first made for Eichi 1. This makes it very special.

But, this tangle buckle is specially made for this Eichi 2, not Eichi 1. So, as far as I know, there are only two seen in the wild. Isn't is rare? I remember some Eichi 2 collectors asked me why do I have a tang buckle?

No but they made pt tang buckles for other Credor watches

I know because I got a friend to buy me a pt Credor watch with pt tang buckle. We had a few different versions to choose from and he chose one for me which ended up like the one powerydrive has. I took the tang buckle and practically sold that Credor at g...

It is different. They did tell us that they didn't have any platinum tang buckle in stock and will make us one if we are willing to wait. We waited for the buckle and this was only possible because of Powerydrive's special good relationship with Seiko . G...

In my case they flat out told us no. I think the reason was they were afraid of franken Credors lol. Glad it worked out for both of you, and both solutions cost $$$. So this is indeed a good deal.
