Up for sale is a watch which I believe has a special place in the heart of many collectors here on thepurists. The Vianney Halter Antiqua is a powerful watch. It has a presence like no other - and I think that you either love it or hate it - very hard to be in-between. I have worn this watch sparingly. It definately gets comments, questions and everything else. Most common questions are - What is that? Does it tell time? Well, the Antiqua does in fact tell time, and is a perpetual calendar all made by hand and encased by hand. Vianney Halter makes everything for this watch excluding the base plates of the movement and the escapement (Lemania). The Case, dial, crown, hands, movement are all meticulously finished and assembled in St. Croix, Switzerland. There is a waiting list for Vianney's watches and there is a large price to entry. The current price for an Antiqua is $158,000 / CHF158,000. With the way the dollar is these days, I dont see the price coming down any time soon. This is a RARE opportunity to get a truly unique watch from one of the most revered independants at a tremendous cost savings. The watch will come with its original papers as singed by Vianney himself - I do not have the box. I can include a watch winder which I use for the buyer.
