I offer for sale my Paul Gerber Retrograd #5x in an 18k yellow gold case with signed 18k buckle, which I bought new from Mr. Gerber years ago. It is one of the last Retrograd watches that he made and is in excellent condition with no dings and only some light swirling around the bezel. This is an elegant thin profile watch from one of the early independent watchmakers.
Features:
- Dial blank made by Mr. Gerber and sent out for finishing and printing.
- Dial 18k gold numbers and hands made and finished by Mr. Gerber.
- Peseux Cal. 7001 movement modified by Mr. Gerber for his retro-seconds indicator mechanism which is made by him in his workshop. Its asymmetric cam requires extensive hand adjustment and finishing to accurately display the seconds throughout the seconds sub-dial arc.
- I have original box and papers.
Here is info from Mr. Gerber’s website:
Case yellow gold 18ct
Handwinding movement
Fly back retrograd seconds
Dial white with applied blue “Breguet” numbers (**18k gold on my watch**)
