I am selling this unique special edition set: IWC Big Pilot & Pilot Mark XVI - the Father and Son Set.
Both watches are 98% condition (TZ grading) and come complete with the large boxes and papers. Leather straps are also immaculate. Watches are NOT engraved.
The Big Pilot is in Platinum for the father and the smaller counterpart Pilot Mark XVI is in stainless steel for the son. There are great resemblance between these two watches with rhodium-plated light-colored dials, the onion-shaped crown, and brown crocodile leather strap.
Big Pilot is made of 46.2mm diameter with 15.8 mm thickness platinum case. It runs on the 51111 caliber which is the renowned mechanical movement with an automatic Pellaton winding system, date and seven-day power reserve that is indicated on the dial. It has 42 jewels and vibrates at 21,600 per hour. It uses an anti-reflective sapphire glass that is specially secured against displacement by a sudden drop in air pressure.
The smaller edition is Pilot Mark XVI with a 39mm diameter and 11.5mm thickness stainless steel case. It runs on the 30110 caliber automatic movement. It has the similar screw-in onion-shaped crown, an anti-reflective sapphire glass secured against displacement by a sudden drop in air pressure found in Big Pilot.
Both watches have the central seconds hand and a date display. They are water-resistant up to 6 bar.
