Made in Seiko’s Micro Artist Studio in Shiojiri, Japan, the Credor Eichi II has been called “The Japanese Simplicity.” Indeed Philippe Dufour himself consulted with the finishers there, and the Seiko brass has publicly stated that the Simplicity was their benchmark.
Still, the watch has a very different feel than a Simplicity that seems to embody all of the beauty and attention to detail that we associate with Japan. Just like there is nothing quite like a 3 Michelin starred sushi restaurant, the Eichi brings that ethos to the wrist. Only a dozen or so are made each year.
This particularly piece is in a platinum case. It is pre-owned and has the typical swirls one sees on a platinum bezel, otherwise in great condition. It comes complete with box and papers and its original strap on platinum deployant buckle.
