The peak of the Chopard experimental era - the LUC 8HF 🚀
When this was launched Chopard was at one of the peak eras of their experimentation.
The Tech Twist era and design language was still there and they were launching new calibers left right and center. Including the 8Hz movement here.
The case design, crown placement, date are all Tech Twist, the hands are the first application of the dauphine fusee style that has become the hallmark of Chopard since.
And the 8Hz movement? Been recycled several times since, most recently in the Alpine Eagle.
Over the last years the collection might have become more streamlined and the finishing refined here and there but the raw energy appears a tad less. Hopefully watches like the Zagato one with the articulated lugs showcased by Emmanuel recently are a harbinger of this energy returning 🤞🏻👍🏻
