Changing straps on the 1860

Hello

I am about to buy a yellow gold 1860/2 with the 1.96 movement. It seems to come with a black strap as standard which makes for a very good albeit formal look. I am thinking about getting a brown strap as well which will make the whole thing a bit more dress down.

My questions are (1) is changing straps something I could do without running the risk of destroying my straps or (god forbid) scratching the watch? (2) would I need to buy a second buckle or could I swap the buckle over when changing straps?
