Chopard

An afternoon at the Chopard boutique...

Patrick Wehrli from Chopard was in town with some of the 2007 Chopard novelties. Chopard very kindly invited myself as well as Dr Bernard Cheong and MTF to the boutique to see some of the new watches. Bernard has already posted some photos.

Maxime Labey, the recently appointed Managing Directo of Chopard in the region

Maxime's LUC Tech Regulateur

LUC Regulateur in rose gold

Patrick demonstrating how the time can be read with the watch partially covered by one's sleeve

The little crank to wind the regulateur

The Lunar One perpetual calendar - one of the few instantaneous perpetual calendars available

The second watch to bear the Qualite Fleurier seal, in white gold to commemorate 10 years of the LUC collection

The movement finish is superb, one of the best from Switzerland today IMHO

The LUC Strike One hourstriker in rose gold

And one of the 2007 novelties, a tourbillon in titanium with grey sapphire dial and sapphire tourbillon bridge.

This titanium tourbillon is easily one of my favourites. It is very light but it is so well made it reeks of quality.

Another 2007 novelty, a tourbillon with a gold movement a la F. P. Journe

Finish is of course impeccable given this is an LUC watch, unfortunately the design is not my cup of tea

Also new for 2007 is the LUC Pro One GMT 'Cadence'  limited edition, made for a yachting event in Switzerland, seen here compared to a Harry Winston Opus V..

Finally we have an LUC Jose Carreras belonging to MTF.

More photos of the 2007 watches to come soon.
