Chopard

I have -

I have a GT XL and a GMT chrono - both have 'odd' lug sizes - 23 mm on the GT XL and 21 mm on the GMT - i have found that downsizing the strap does not look good - I have a similar 22 mm 'rally' strap that I normally fit on the MM GMT chrono, and it looks too small and out of place on the GT XL. Additionally, it is too thin at the buckle end to fit the Chopard deployant (which is head-and-shoulders a better piece than any replacement)

I have a number of Panerai straps (from my previous affliction!) at 24MM which seem to fit the lugs of the GT XL quite well (without the customary Panerai strap tubes in place) - there is a tiny bit of work involved in getting it to fit, but as long as it is soft leather, it will conform well to the smaller hole over time. It looks much better than having that tiny bit of bare spring bar exposed on either end.

Of course, it would have been too easy for Chopard to use the more-standard 24 and 22 widths... oh well.
