Hmm interesting
I never knew there were two version of the minute repeater movement. I have only seen the one shown on the bottom. The one on top looks to be much higher end with a free sprung balance, better bridge architecture, and finer beveling on the bridges.

The yellow gold seems to use the René and Papi movement. To my eye the top one looks like it might be an F Piguet/Blancpain cal 33, but just a guess. I read that the René and Papi is reported to be a bit subdued in sound. ...

And when my memory is right the yellow gold and the white gold version were released after each other, with a year in between. GEO
The yellow gold was a limited edition of 25 from 2004
and is a manually wound Caliber 9401MC finished by Renaud & Papi. If memory serves, the white gold was from 2001/2002.
