The Session was about to start ... let's begin with
a short 6-minute video ...

Fulvio Manini, Senior Wholesale Manager, Bulgari South Asian Operations was ready to start.

This gentleman has been with Bvlgari since the very early day of Bvlgari Time, which is about 20+ years.
So he has seen the growth of the company over the years.

Fulvio started with the chronological of Bvlgari watchmaking stint as early as the 1920s.   The company’s first creation was a  Art Déco, with a unique, sophisticated style which protrayed its Graeco-Roman origins and made with precious metals and diamonds.

In the 1940s, Bulgari established its style with the Snake Watch. Bold coils of gold studded with gems immediately became an emblem among jewel-watches. ( Pictures in Part 5)

In the 1970s came the 'Tubogas' (Pics in Part 5), a revisitation of the Snake Watch, with a flexible and elastic gold bracelet entirely by handmade.
This was an absolutely revolutionary model for its age and soon became yet another symbol of elegance and style.
Only 2 master jewelers who have the knowledge to make the Tubogas, they are still in Bvlgari.

A great classic, the famous Bulgari·Bulgari was launched in 1977, designed by famous Gerald Genta.
Somehow you could not help but to think that Bvlgari could be ahead of time, with the bold courage to use the double engraved logo as a decorative element, a stylistic trend now followed by the many in the  luxury sector.
Or perhaps the letters were well-spaced out and cleverly positioned to blend with the hour indices , looking pleasant to the eyes.

Next Fulvio also touched on Bulgari initial foray using  multiple innovative materials in the Diagono series with aluminium and titanium which again pretty visionary during the 80s.

He also briefly talked about the strategic acquisition of Daniel Roth and Gérald Genta, combining with their current arsenals of  Cadrans Design for the dials and Prestige D’Or for bracelets, making Bvlgari Group a force to be reckoned with in watchmaking industry.

He continued with their collections like  Ergon and Assioma, Assioma and the new BVLGARI BVLGARI model.

After Fulvio, JiaXian continued with another interesting segment.

I like  JX's segment as he recounted his personal experience with the Bvlgari pieces.

Next  was Dr. Bernard Cheong, he further elaborated on the technology of  the Diagono Professional Acqua, and the detail of
the casemaking in Bvlgari.  He further highlighted the advantages and importance of having a strong jewelery know-how in a watch
company.

An Ergon on Bernard's wrist.

After which, he also gave a crash-course watch-collecting to the guests.
