...is one of Breguet's most popular watches, so I would not expect this to have been produced in "few" pieces - though nobody outside of the Swatch Group is likely, IMOHO, to get any specific production figures on this. The same goes for price increases - the earliest these start to get out, is whenever they are discussed with distributors.
In terms of collectibility, a watch becomes so either through its inherent complication which makes it difficult to manufacture in great numbers, through its being limited in production as part of its marketing, or due to huge demand and limited production capability (think Daytona and Rolex's deliberately making it in small quantities).
Personally, I do not believe that the 3657 tourbillon meets any of these criteria. Tourbillons with today's technologies are relatively simple to manufacture, the watch is not limited production, and the demand for it - given its price point - is not "huge".
I get the impression by reading in between the lines of your post that you are looking at this tourbillon more as an investment than as a beautiful watch to wear: if that is the case, don't get it. A watch is VERY RARELY a good investment, and its resale value in the second-hand market will in most cases hover around 50% of its retail price. If you're looking for an investment, I would suggest speaking with your banker.
If instead you are looking to buy one of the most beautiful tourbillons around, which is downright mesmerising to look at, then by all means you have made the right choice, and the Ref. 3657 will fit the bill perfectly! ![]()
