Breguet

it sounds like the best choice

Hi Anthony,

I don't think any other (small) ladies chrongoraphs have such a high grade movement in them, so unless she likes the sporty look of the ladies Type XX, the Marine is the way to go.

My issues with the looks of the (older) Marine line are entirely personal and not based on any conceptual/aesthetic reasoning. The guilloche dial and blued Breguet hands in addition to the ribbed case middle are all signatures of modern Breguets (since the '80s or so?). Functionally, I think the crown is quite akward for handwinding, but that shouldn't be much of an issue for an automatic if she wears it regularly.

For non-chronographs, you might also look at the 8067. It has a slightly more classic (Classique) case, a mother of pearl dial and a display back, showing off the Cal. 537 movement. It's also an exlusive Breguet automatic movement and is reportedly a great performer.
