Band removal

No Loctite on the screws. But you're right, you do need a close-fitting screwdriver.

If you do not have proper watchmaker's screwdrivers, you can take one of the widely available CCC (Cheap Chinese Crap) versions, and carefully grind it to proper size with a fine sharpening stone. Tip should not be conical - or rather not wedge-shaped - to avoid it "jumping" out of the screw slot. Takes a bit of patience and a steady hand, but nothing one can't achieve in 10 minutes.

The screws are not too tight: gold being quite a soft material, it would easily be damaged by undue force. On the other hand, being soft a gold screw does not have the same tendency as hardened steel to "slip" out by itself.
