Villeret Customization Questions
I have several questions, some elementary, and some that I think I may need to contact Blancpain directly for. I just wanted to run them by you guys first.
First question. On the Leman and Villeret movements the rotor, on most models, is a quite metal. Am I to assume this is platinum or is it white gold? I know that several of the models have the 21K yellow gold rotors, but I didn't know if the white rotors matched metal-wise.
Secondly, I am thinking of a grand wedding gift for the soon-to-be fiance and wanted some input. I am seriously considering, if funds allow, ordering some matching watches from Blancpain. My question is, how custom can I get with watches from Blancpain and stay in a semi-affordable range. I know this sounds quite vague, so let me clarify. My girlfriend and I both love the Villeret Chronograph Monopoussoir. How feasible is it to ask for two of these each with matching Black M.O.P. faces, which are not produced in this model; matching case numbers, think No. 10/07 an Anniversary date that doesn't actually have a meaning in terms of numbering cases; and matching custom-engraved rotors with select quotes that we each hold dear. And is it possible to stay close to the 10k range of a standard Chronograph Monopoussoir??
Thank you for the valuable insights in this matter. I am thinking that it will be way too far out of my range for this, but hey, why not shoot for the stars on something like this. Any specific help on the customized rotors would be the most helpful, I think that will probably be the only thing of this crazy idea I can pull.
