As I own three of the 5015 iterations, it is clear I like this watch.
Being honest, and I do not say this lightly, I consider the 5015 the most complete and comprehensively convincing modern watch I have encountered.
I hear the complaints about the 45mm, and I am an owner of a watch collection where apart from a single Speedy, no other watch is beyond 40mm, so it is clear I like contained-size watches.
But...this is the magic of the 5015. It is so perfect in its shapes, curves, 3D/in the flesh case and crystal/bezel allure, supremely sensuous hands, materials/surfaces, movement, history, that even with 45mm it wears like a 42mm or so, plus it feels like pure magic. I call it with no shame the Bugatti of all divers. To think this was launched in 2007, when the Sub had aluminum bezel and 48h of power reserve or so..
And best of all, underwater, it makes any other diver look like a gimmick, as its lume and ability to turn precisely the bezel is spectacularly functional. One can see that the company's CEO is a devoted diver.
I stop rambling now
Long live the 5015 for me. I look forward to getting old with this icon.
All the best,
Alex
