I am excited
I always wanted a 50 Fathom but they were always too large. The limited edition 50 at 40mm were perfect but were always sold out and asking for a premium. The best iteration was the Hodinkee Mil-Spec. The rest were okay. So as for this release, I am dreading the disappointment. Will there be a date window at 4:30? Will there a big BLANCPAIN inscribe on the case back? Will it be a Mirror polish case? Yes. This is Blancpain, we do not listen to our market base.
Hoping Blancpain prove me wrong and make a customer out of me.

The historical aspect might be worth more than a few discussions…
But putting that aside, I think if this 3rd act mimics the one in the photo i.e. coming in a smaller size and less shiny case than the current Fifty Fathoms, it could be quite attractive. Cautiously optimistic I am.
