Gorgeous

I've seen one or two Fifty Fathoms recently that have looked good, albeit not in as good condition as the one pictured, but I am paranoid now about buying more popular watches unless they're either from a store who can offer some sort of guarantee of authenticity or a highly respected collector.  I'm even reluctant about buying from otherwise upstanding sellers, because somewhere along the buying chain it just takes one buyer to extend a little too much trust to someone and a Frankenwatch can creep in.  The rule of buying the seller and not the watch alas no longer seems to hold true.

Just one picture for the moment, but no worries, I will come back to it. I sadly missed the opportunity to add it in my collection because it was not the right time for me. A pity. The condition is just stunning. And the look breathtaking. Best, Nicolas...

best I've ever seen in live or pictures...

What about Frankenwatches? My concern is buying what looks like an original watch, but which has perhaps had a replacement bezel fitted or dial from another Milspec. It shouldn't really make a difference to the watch, I guess, provided all the parts are a...

It all depends on the well known combinations of dials, hands, bezel and serial numbers.
