First for the photography geeks out there. A tilt shift lens is a blast. Never imagined how many possibilities open up with it. So played with it some more. I have posted photos of this watch before. But in some ways taking photos of this is like taking p...

The camera is a Canon 7D (which I just bought). It is superb. But it is the lens that really counts and that is also new, the Canon TS-E90 Tilt shift lens.

I have a 24mm TS Canon lens but will not allow me to come this close. You must be using the 45mm?

I am using the Canon TS-E 90mm tilt shift lens with one extender tube. It is hands down the best lens I have ever had for shooting watches.

The 7D and TS 90mm make for a great makeshift macro lens. Smart using the tube. I just bought the 5D mkii 3 weeks ago. I was debating between it and the 7D as I wanted to swap out my 1D mkii for a smaller camera. I no longer need the long battery life, we... 

Well we have similar tastes. I use the 7D for watch photography as the cropped sensor helps with DOF and the 5D MkII for all around stuff. In addition to the tilt shift have 60mmEFS macro; 100mm macro; 24-105f4L, 135f2L, 17-40f4L, 85mm 1.8, 70-200f4LIS; 1... 

probably on the crystal rather than the marker or dial... Nicely done! TM

guess I shoot too fast and don't thoroughly wipe off the watch. Besides, here I was interested in seeing what this new lens could do. Jeff
