The post of the day

Welcome.

The watch of the week, what a great start.

Your journey to London, and the references you wanted.
I am not known with AP references, but i read your references. TI stands for titanium, so that’s why your AP feels not bulky on the wrist.
Green, that is the best choice for the RO Off shore.
Ok, you like the grey, albeit the green you acquired is the best.
The plastic pushers, AP use top plastics.

Self:
I like the white and black Off shores, the bleu and white and for sure the green and kaki.
I do not like all black and full carbon watches. For me, metal is number 1.
Round pushers are my choice.
The diver with the helium screw is my favorite Royal Oak.

When you go hill climbing with your new AP, pictures will be cool to post here.

My first Audemars Piguet - reference 26238TI.

Acquiring my first Audemars Piguet (sorry in advance for my english): I usually visit London at least two times a year, however I have never deared to contact the boutique. I have been on the outside of the establishment several times but my Scandiavian m...

It's definitely not easy to get allocation nowadays - however seeing how you described your journey, I can see why they think you are a genuine customer and would allocate you the piece. There is absolutely no downside to keep your relationship with them ...

Thank you!

I was very, very lucky! Its just an unusual prospect to me to maintaining a relationship with a seller - it might sound strange but I have never been in this position before so I dont know whats too much or what to do.

Congrats on this new addition!

Looks like you may have been lucky on that one. The last time I was in the AP boutique they had pretty much nothing, the only watches on display from their popular range were client watches on loan!

Thanks a lot!

Thanks mate! I never knew that could be the case! Do they pay to display the watches, or are the watches going to the clients and they are just showing them?

Sincere congrats and thanks for sharing the details on your beautiful AP acquisition! You definitely must have made an impression on the boutique manager, as these allocations are not easy to come by these days! ;-)

And yes, even though I believe that relationships should also grow naturally (and go both ways!), it probably won't hurt to keep in touch with the boutique until the next time you visit them....however, remember that we also want to see your wristshot of ...

Appreciate it!

Thanks mate! I just dont know which way to keep in touch and what is too much or too little? Is an email four times a year/or a drop in when im London sufficient? I will try my best to get the lights! Sometimes they never show and sometimes they light up ...

Congratulations.

Thanks mate! And good health to you!

First of all, sincere congratulations on your acquisition !

Of course you should stay in touch and send pictures from the gorgeous mountains and spectacular natural beauty of Norway to your sales rep. Relationship building isn't only by making purchases but also a personal touch goes a long way in my experience. W...

Thank you a bunch!

I will do my best to stay in touch, however I am unsure what the perfect balance is though. I dont want to be fussy or too cold - but I definitely will send a picture this new years! But should I send to the sales associate and/or the boutique manager? Wi...

You can gauge from the response and adjust the level of correspondence

It doesn’t harm to send anyone you wish an initial message then wait and see what response you get . All the best

I will take it to heart

and definitely do as you suggest. Thanks again and all the best to you too mate! Appreciate you

Yes, maintain your relationship.

I bought my first AP from the boutique in Florida in 2006. The associate who answered my initial call left the brand only a few years later. To this day, he remains one of my best friends walking this Earth, and I rather have that relationship than any wa...

I certainly will

But I am unsure what is too much or too little from me, and who should I focus my attention on? Both the sales associate and the boutique manager or one of them? This is unchartered waters for me and I have no clue! Fantastic to hear the associate became ...

Well, for me the discussion of course started with AP

Current models, new models, etc. The manager would answer the phone here and there, and I came to know her as well. Anyways, you don't need to force it, but keep in touch with your contacts there and that always helps. Merry Christmas to you as well!

What an incredible first post!

And lucky you - getting a green offshore as a first piece, in this crazy environment, is something which shows your genuine interest to the AP managers! Make sure to keep in touch with your AP representative - as MichaelC said and I can attest, showing a ...

and fortunate that I was given an opportunity! Perhaps they were tired of pretentious "gimme gimme" customers and thought me and my girl was a fresh changeup! I certainly hope so! The associate informed me "that they cannot guarantee things at any given t...

I am 1 for 1, if we are keeping stats but I was beyond lucky. All credit to the associate, the manager and the client who declined the offer. I just regret not buying the other piece as well. I do believe it was a 43 mm which is honestly a very nice size ...

Thank you so very much!

I appreciate that! Its just sometimes the words and grammar isnt on par, and one never knows where one will meet a strict english speaker on the net. Thanks again and merry christmas and happy new years!

Sincere congrats in getting this superb AP!
