Royal Oak Offshore (Safari) - any good??

I really admire AP watches but I dont really know too much about them... I mean never really researched them as they were always too too expensive for me.. especially I always admired Royal Oak Offshore but never really seriously considered buying it for the same reason that they were too expensive....

but god has been kind i am in a position to pick up one of these and the other day i was at my AD and kinda liked this Safari model and my AD told me it is a really sought after model and is a limited edition which almost sold out...

when i tried to search this forum for safari model it came back with '0' results so i guess it aint that sought after... but even then what do you think about this particular model of offshore as compared to other models in the same series...

Welcome to the world of AP! What was it that caught your eye with the AP Safari? Dial color? Case? Comfort? Bezel? The Safari is not a limited edition (LE) but does utilizes the in-house 3126 movement. Have you looked at the other pieces in the wide range...

As MW said, definitely not an LE...maybe limited and 'almost sold out' in that particular AD if they don't have enough stock, but sounds like the guy was taking advantage of your lack of knowledge and hoping for a quick sale. Statements such as that would...

Thanks for your replies... I understand this is not a limited edition but is it one of the better ones in the range though i do not buy watches for their resale values because this is so expensive just want to know wether it will hold its value?

Your guess as good as mine

Let me first say that I think the Safari is one of the nicer non-LE ROOs available. To me, the color scheme and matching hornback croc strap make it more 'stately' than the other Themes models while retaining the same ROO sportiness. The strap takes a bit...

so I don't really fuss about value so much but this was different cause i was not looking to buy anything right now but when I saw this I just loved it but the price he was quoting was very steep and I can see the same watch at cheaper prices on internet ...

i love my Safari

changes, subtle and less subtle, over the years. The strap version and the bracelet version were NOT compatible / interchangeable in the earliest models. Specific dials can last 5 years or more, but even non limited versions can be replaced or "refreshed"...
