New 44mm versus traditional 42mm ROO

My AP dealer invited me in to see the new 44mm ROO chrono in pink gold with the black composite bezel. I really liked it alot as it uses the new larger cases size and it brings in the look of the Barichello with the larger pushers. This said it reminds me too much of a Hublot.

While in the store my salesperson showed me a traditional 42mm ROO on bracelet in pink gold. I wasn't expecting to like it but I was struck by how great looking the traditional 42mm looked in pink gold and how beautiful the bracelet was in pink gold. The watch also weighed a ton on the wrist which I actually appreciate.

I'd be interested to hear any opinions on the use of pink gold in the 42mm ROO and whether at this 6 figure price point  one should be looking for a ROO with a complication. It's interesting that one can buy the new platinum 44 mm ROO chrono for about the same price as the  42mm pink gold ROO. Would have thought the pink gold would be less but perhaps the fact that the case and the bracelet are all gold elevates the price to the level of a platinum case on a leather strap.

Are the plain old 42mm ROO's on bracelets now becoming nostalgia pieces? Is the pink gold model on bracelet simply AP's effort to pimp it out a little and keep up some interest in the 42mm case size before they slowly phase it out?
