A. Lange & Söhne

You guys are definitely in the majority, based upon the secondary market!

For me, a key design feature of the ZW is the crisp, clean, precise way that the ZW shows me the time. I like that the ZW shows me only what's happening on home base, and screens out what's happening in the dugout, in the bullpen, and elsewhere on the field. That's what makes the ZW different from a traditional analog time display. Thus, seeing extra digits scrambled around the "main" digits (i.e., the digits that are in the display window at any given time) kind of ruins that for me, if that makes sense.

Also, the "numbers-only" aesthetic of the ZW Lumen models doesn't offer me any surprises. It doesn't show me anything new. I already know that the ZW displays time digitally, so seeing only digits "below the surface" doesn't add value for me. Rather, I want a semi-transparent dial to show me things that I'd normally never see when looking at that same watch with a standard dial. I want to see gears, perlage, and other features that would otherwise be hidden from my view. That's the value-add of a lumen model for me -- that it gives me a glimpse into the diverse landscape that lies beneath the surface.

That said, the ZW lumen models are still incredibly cool in their own right, and I get why people cherish them!
