The first, is that when the chiming mechanism is activated, the whirring sound of the fly governor is louder than it should be, which really distracts from the beautiful melody of the time being chimed out. This did NOT happen when the watch came new.
Secondly, when the watch is being wound up, there is a very faint but clear " ting " sound, as if the hammer is loose and is hitting the gong ever so slightly. Either that or some other part of the calibre is hitting somewhere/part of the movement.
I shudder at the thought of it now, and I sure do hope that Glashutte is doing all in its might to rescue and resuscitate my beautiful baby! Will keep the forum updated when all is done ! Pray for it mon ami!
