London lunch

 

The occasion was the delivery of a very very special Voutilain tourbillon with unique shockproof detente escapement that has been in development and build for over five years. The watch will be presented at Basel. The finishing is perhaps the finest I have seen on any watch, literally breathtaking in concept, execution and result. At the same time we were surprised and priveleged to be the first to see a completed Daniels 35th anniversary watch, though the movement is a prototype with Roger continuing to refine and improve with subtle changes to come. Even in prototype form the finish was outstanding in the typical English style and the fit and finish of the dial simply outstanding and the case style and substance perfect. Two landmark pieces. Other watches belonged to a fellow enthusiast. The venue, should anyone be interested was the 360 year old cellars of the stafford Hotel in St James' and the service second to none. Regards, Colin.
