This could be an interesting game...

... because I too had been wondering what similar brands/ companies there might be in other areas that could be likened to De Bethune. The automotive sector is difficult ,as you have discussed. One of my other passions is handmade bicycles, and my collection there kind of mirrors my watch collection in that there is a classic, traditional one, (breguet/hetchins) a narrow purpose, modern one with a twist (panerai/mercian) and something a bit different; handmade, boutique, independent, with a high level of craft skill, beguilingly simple complexity, outrageous design/finish, utterly distinctive, etc, etc. In which case I'd liken my DB22 Power to a Pegoretti Marcelo.

I'll understand if no-one wants to go with a thread that's touching upon cycling, but I do have a question too. Out of interest, can anyone tell me what nationalities the two founders of De bethune are please?

Anyone here own a De Bethune DBS?
