Every Lange watch is splashwater-protected. This means that it is
adequately sealed to cope with everyday situations such as when it rains or
you are washing your hands. However, it should not be worn while swimming or
diving.

- May Lange watches be worn in the shower, bathtub, or sauna?

Lange watches are not designed for such situations. The precious
crocodile strap would also be damaged under these circumstances. Conversely,
a Lange watch can easily withstand exposure to water when you are washing
your hands or when it rains.=======================================================But dont be dissapointed with the above ... look at it from the bright side:
I guess you need to visit your fav. AD and have him show you a couple of
water resistant watches.

This is the "old" AT, ref. 3536 in Ti, on the rubber strap taken from the
current Aquatimer range.

I added a Ti-looking deployant (iirc the IWA number is 16620, it is
bead-blasted/microblasted/... SS but looks identical to the Ti case)

I know that Lange does not make any sports watches, but do they have one that can stand up to the occasional submersion?

it probably makes sense since I would ruin the leather bands if they got wet.

I was hoping to put a water resistant band on one, so I could wash up and not worry! Maybe it is time for me to grow up and start treating my watches properly! Thanks for your courteous reply....

My wrists can just barely(sp) "hold" the big Aquatimer, but I use the watch during the holidays at the beach and when mowing the lawn etc. so I am not bothered by its size so much. I must add that since I have it on a deployant I enjoy wearing the watch m... 

it is stainless steel and has a blue face with orange markers...

Because it is steel, it weighs a ton! It feels good on the wrist, but I always fear banging it into things.The angle of the strap helps it fit the wrist nicely. Sometimes, I even have trouble getting my shirt sleeve over it. The deployent clasp would be n...
