I have bought a brand new Zeitwerk from Lange before and was denied politely by the dealer. Emailed earlier today. You must need well over $100,000 in spend to get one then I guess?

Lange has released another stunner!

I’m a definite Lange fan and own several pieces - But…

for $55k more than the base Zeitwerk, they’re offering honey gold, a lumen dial and twice the power reserve - no complications. I think $145k is high for a time only piece, when compared to the sub $100k time only Richard Lange that has the Pour le Mérite...

Yes, Richemont Is Wisely Profiting Off Many Ltd. Ed.

 By: enjoythemusic : October 24th, 2021-22:25
It's good to see Richemont maximizing profits given the market conditions. Limited production and limited edition pieces being announced bi-weekly brings added premiums above typical pieces. May even help lift used resale values too, and some brands do ne...

This watch is only available for sale from boutiques as a “bundle”

 By: monte : October 25th, 2021-11:05
Unfortunately you will not be able to purchase this watch at its list price (even if your are an existing customer with purchase history). The Lange boutique (not an AD) is asking that you purchase at very least a 1815 Tourbillion as part of a bundle to b...

Crazy and not acceptable…

 By: p.boxster : October 25th, 2021-12:10
…if this is really official practice!?! The retail price is already quite steep imo. OK to sell only through boutique for list price. But bundle?? Who does this must be crazy, sorry Lange!

My sentiments exactly….

 By: monte : October 25th, 2021-12:37
If they continue to insist on this i can foresee quite a few 1815 Tourbillions or other bundle watches going onto the secondary market…. On the one hand they may artificially inflated the secondary market price for the Lumen but on the other hand the “bun...

They've been doing this for other models too...

...I have a friend with many lovely Lange pieces and he still has to negotiate buying a second watch (which he doesn't want) to get the one that he does want...

I also know someone …….

 By: monte : October 26th, 2021-06:28
…… who has bought more than a handful of ALS watches, all from ALS boutiques, who was asked to purchase at minimum a 1815 Tourbillion to qualify for an allocation…..

Does he FLIP Unwanted ALS Pieces?

 By: enjoythemusic : October 26th, 2021-15:03
If a manufacturer is forcing people to buy things they don't want as a 'package deal', this could be problematic. Unwanted models may be immediately flipped to grey dealers could be a big concern for manufacturers.

He is a buy and hold kind of guy...

 By: mdg : October 26th, 2021-15:17
...we discussed doing a 'package deal' where he would buy a watch that I wanted (to satisfy the quota) and then sell it to me. But we both agreed that I would get no 'credit' from Lange for future purchases of my own. And we also both agreed that it's a t...

Im not eligible despite having purchased a zeitwerk in 2019.

Interesting. I was debating buying...

an ALS Striking Time, yet decided an MB&F timepiece is a far better choice. I love the way MB&F treats its clients. We need more Kari, less conglomerate corporate-owned BS. jmho

I was kinda focused on the retail price too. $145k.

Dato Lumen (200 units) was maybe a $10k premium over the non Lumen with the same metal (platinum), it was $100k in 2018 when released. If the assumption is the base ZW will not see a price increase for the movement “upgrade” then there seems to be a big b...

Case dimensions

 By: diracpoint : October 24th, 2021-15:04
seem to be **exactly** the same as the Gen 1 Zeitwerks (41.9 mm dia, 12.6 mm thick). It’s a nice watch, but I personally prefer the base matte black dial over a smoky dial.

Absolutely gorgeous
