Very different for sure but the Zeitwerk was on the top of my wish list and I had to sell few timepieces to finance it. Today, if I had to own a new Lange 1 moon phase, I would opt for the day/night one in WG without any hesitation

Friends, A watch I had the pleasure to see in the metal, or should I say in the “silver”?! The A. Lange & Shöne, Lange 1 Moon Phase in Pink Gold. The hue from the (solid) silver dial is something I find absolutely stunning! Great contrast to the Pink Gold...
The same day I saw another one...

The big frame for the big date
helps to hide the fact that the numbers are on different planes-which is my only objection to Lange's big dates. But this watch is certainly a stunning beauty.
I much prefer the way GP executed the Big Date...

But you are right! And Ulysse Nardin did a better job than Lange/JLC. Still, it is hard not to love the Lange 1, with all of its idiosynchrocies!
