Many thanks for clarifying. What you wrote here is just the point I wanted to be clear about:
"But it´s not that the manufacturer´s warranty period will start all over again as soon as the watch "comes home" for repairs. This means, any defects showing up outside the manufacturers or dealers warranty period won´t be covered. Just defects which are subject of repair work will be covered for an extended period."

Lange has good reputation in providing good service. In my case, the watchmaker repaired my watch and recorded detail particulars in service log book. The warantty period runs afresh from the date of service. Regards Ling
