I think not due to aesthetics but more the difficulty of "reading".
I think the key to appreciating these Regulators is to set the mindset that these are precision chronometers and as such, the main focus of the eyes/attention should be on the minute hand as opposed to focussing on the entire watch/hour AND minute hands per say. Once this mindset is incorporated, I would imagine that appreciation for this form of watches would increase.

The regulators are so under appreciated... I wonder why. Their Esthetic? The difficulty to easily read the hour, at the beginning? Don't know, but they ere interesting watches, I think, and original too. Best. nicolas
