New Lange One
Yes, the new Lange One doesn't have currently a WG version. But I'm sure that a WG version will be released later. Will it be similar to the "night owls"? No idea.
But I suppose it is not difficult to find a new 101.039 at the AD of the brand. I saw one yesterday, please PM if you want to learn more.
About the new Lange One vs the current till now one, it is a matter of how you consider the instantaneous jumping date display. If you don't care, well, the Lange One will be perfect for you. And during more than 20 years, it has been considered as a top watch. If this new date system is important for you, so, it is a point you have to consider. Aesthetically speaking, they are very very close.
Last comment:
The Lange One is an icon. So you can't be wrong with it. Compare with a Patek watch? But there is no equivalent to the Lange One which embodies a german approach of fine watchmaking.
