New Lange 1 timezone (WG / black dial) - why brown strap?
I’ve never seen a manufacture pair a black dial with a brown strap. Is the dial not fully black or something? Just seems like an unusual choice (and every other black dial model Lange sells/has sold comes on black strap

I recognize that this theory has limitations, such as:
Everyone knows the black dial platinum Datograph looks best on brown straps. But Lange still paired it with a black strap. Thus Lange does not follow the 'what would look best' principle for strap pairings.
It is an unusual combination for Lange.
I haven't seen that model in person, but personally I find the photos a bit unsettling. I wish I had read this post earlier today because I could've seen it.

In other words - Lange has many models with the same black+silver dial, but they only use the brown strap on this watch. The Lange 1 moon phase white gold is the same black dial right? But they use black strap. And the saxonia moon phase too - same black ...
